I'm an associate professor of economics at the Center for Industrial Economics (CERNA) at Mines ParisTech. Before I joined the faculty at Mines ParisTech I was a doctoral and post-doctoral researcher in the research group Competition and Regulation at the Leibniz Center for European Economic Research Mannheim (ZEW) and the Mannheim Center for Competition and Innovation (MaCCI). I am also a research associate at ZEW and a research member at the Paris Center for Law and Economics (CRED) at the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas.
My research interests cover Antitrust and Competition Economics, Energy and Environmental Economics and Information Economics with a strong focus on empirical quantitative methods. My current research addresses the impact of state aid laws, the (anti-) competitive effects of minority shareholdings, the robustness of public support for renewable energy, and the interaction of consumer search and strategic firm decisions.
My work has been published in general interest journals such as American Economic Journal: Microeconomics, European Economic Review and Oxford Economic Papers as well as in energy field journals such as Energy Economics, the Energy Journal and Energy Policy. I have been consulting institutions and ministries like the European Commission and the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy on several topics of expertise.
